CF Fertilisers helps grow our client base

Britain’s leading fertiliser manufacturer, CF Fertilisers, has appointed Logic-i to deliver cost, commercial and quantity surveying services on a major project. CF Fertilisers manufactures almost 40% of the UK’s fertiliser requirement. The Ammonia 4 Turnaround project involves shutting down its main plant for four-six weeks to carry out essential maintenance.

The plant engages with multiple sub-contractors, meaning the potential for cost overruns and simultaneous operations is high. Geoff Shaw, who recently joined the Logic-i team and brings a wealth of Cost Management experience to the role, will oversee the Turnaround project. He will monitor activities to help control cost and identify cost-saving opportunities. Reporting directly to the Client, His role includes weekly cost reporting, delivering robust total cost forecasting and commercial management of sub-contract packages.

The Logic-i directors Stephen Humble, Jason Nowell, and Stephen Priestley said: “We’re delighted to have secured this project. We’re proud to be able to add CF Fertilisers to our growing client base and the knowledge, skills, and value for money we can provide are clearly appreciated. Geoff’s broad experience is ideally suited to this kind of engagement. We’re confident he’ll be a big success.”
